In a time where music is more accessible than ever before, will it become more difficult to find music that transcends a desire to be heard, and deeper connects us to our human experience? Justin Nelson, a musician and songwriter from Arizona is asking these types of questions. Through the lens of heartfelt, powerful songs pulling from a large well of inspirations including the National, Delta Spirit, Willie & Springsteen, Susanne Sundfor, and David Ramirez, the sound comes together as a celebration of indie, a heart for the cinematic, and a nod to americana & roots music, with the American Southwest as the ideal visual. Big spaces, bigger skies, and even bigger ideas and melodies. Justin grew up playing drums in a band all around Arizona, and moved to Nashville at 17 to pursue a career drumming for anybody. Finding little success, and lots of frustration and coffee-gigs Justin felt he could no longer ignore the voice in his soul asking “What would I sound like?” At 23 years old, one record and many songs, and numerous shows later, Justin is working on new material for 2019, living with his wife and dog in Nashville, and waking up everyday searching for new ways and new songs with one goal: To connect us all to our Humanity.
