“I am the Director and creator of Campbellsville Folk Fest. Music has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember and it’s something I’ve always wanted to share with everyone. I was first asked to perform with my band, The Folk Project, downtown for an event called “Music on the Square” which turned into us wanting to make the event larger and long story short, we created CFF. Indie/Folk music is my favorite genre of music and something I feel is very under appreciated. I love going to concerts and I have prior experience working festivals and I want to take all of my knowledge and give everyone around me the opportunity to hear, in my opinion, the best of the best. I want to help local musicians like myself beat the tiring grind that comes with working in the industry by bringing the industry to us and I want to show the world that just because our town is small, it doesn’t mean we can’t do big things. Networking is important and so is bringing together the community. More than anything, we want to create an environment that is family-friendly, promotes love and kindness and has everyone screaming BRING BACK THE FOLK!”

“I’m a Realtor & Broker Associate with Keller Williams Elite Realty covering Campbellsville and surrounding areas. I graduated from Campbellsville University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master degree in Special Education. I worked at The Central KY News Journal for 9 years as an Advertising Executive and I’ve been a professional photographer for 20 years.
I’ve been to the Folk Fest events in the past and I loved the music and atmosphere. I’m part of Campbellsville Folk Fest because I love bringing fun and excitement to our community and I’m also a fan of the band The Folk Project who created CFF. I’m looking forward to linking Trail Towns Green River Century Ride event to Folk Fest this year. I’m passionate about Downtown Campbellsville and the growth and development of our city. I want to help build the festival to a huge event that everyone looks forward to and wants to be a part of. It’s a great opportunity to bring visitors to Campbellsville so they can see our thriving community and support our local artists and economy.”
Assistant Coordinator/Day of Director
¡Hola! Me llamo Kimmy. I am a Campbellsville native and I currently work at Adair County High School as a Spanish teacher. I have been fortunate enough to partner alongside Campbellsville Folk Fest for the past two years and I am so excited to kick off year three! Community is really important to me and this is essentially the center of Folk Fest. Seeing people being brought together, local and otherwise, with music as their uniting force, is truly a beautiful thing to witness. Come celebrate with us and help us “Bring Back The Folk” this August, 2019. ¡Nos vemos pronto!

“I am the manager at Brothers BBQ and I play bass and guitar. I joined the board to help bring live music back to Campbellsville and hopefully get more people playing music in the local area.”
Web & Media Specialist
I am a Kentucky native (Somerset) and have called Campbellsville home for about 13 years now. Although I am a nomad at heart, my English husband and I have made Campbellsville our home, and love the people we get to raise our 5 sweet kiddos with. I am a high school librarian by day, and a dreamer by night. I am constantly dreaming of future projects in event planning, web design, writing, & creating pretty things (jewelry & art). I have loved watching downtown Campbellsville grow, change, and transform over the years. Music, creativity, and the arts have been a driving force in so many new businesses, events, and in inspiring the people of Campbellsville into new adventures. Music helps with my own personal inspiration on a daily basis. Folk Fest,is one of those events that reminds us how music brings together a community and connects us with one another. Music can make you feel so many emotions, especially those emotions we associate with home or our roots. I am excited about the musicians & artisans that will be sharing their talents with us in August. Here’s to dreaming about big things for Folk Fest 2019 & beyond!
Food Vendor Relations
“I’ve been committed from a pretty young age to building community. I feel like some of the best ways to build community is through music and food. They both reach a wide audience and bring people together and produce smiles. To me, Folk Fest is one of Campbellsville’s premier events to build community and provide entertainment. I’ve been involved in some form or fashion with CFF since its inception and I’m excited this year to help coordinate vendors and bring in some of the top quality food from the region. My partner and I own Sugar Rush concessions and we will be vending cotton candy, shaved ice, lemon shake ups and pucker powder. Make sure to come by and say howdy!”
